    Drawback:

Joomla has one drawback, any web user can easily know the site is created in Joomla! by typing the URL to access the administration area (i.e. www.site name.com/administration). This makes hackers hack the site easily once they crack id and password for Joomla!.

    Information:

jSecure Authentication module prevents access to administration (back end) login page without appropriate access key. This module works only on Joomla 1.0.xx version.

GuardXT is an administrator application that tries to make your site safer against hackers attacks and helps you recognizing that your site has been hacked. GuardXT performs various checks on your system and informs you, if something is going wrong.

The GuardXT overview screen gives you a snapshot of your system. Big red, yellow and green traffic lights indicate immediately if your system is o.k. or not and in most cases you can directly access related actions.

GuardXT 0.09.05 is available for download. Despite several bug fixes some new checks/functions were added or improved. Main improvement to previous versions is the implicit health check. During normal initialization or check runs your joomla core files will now be automatically checked for changes i.e. if your joomla core files were modified compared to the original version you will be notified and may (if the modification was intended) be confirmed.

Have you ever been in the position where you want to turn SSL encryption on for one page but not your whole site? ForceSSL is a Joomla 1.0.x mambot that allows the site administrator to turn SSL encryption on for just one page or turn it off. It scans the content before it is displayed to the page and if it finds the mosTags below which activate it or deactive it it will redirect to the appropriate protocol (https vs. http).

The beautiful thing about this mambot is the ability to just have it active per page. For example, let's say you have an application that you want secured but when they submit it you don't want the user to continue on the SSL encrypted site. You would ad the {mosForceSSL on} tag to the application page and then the {mosForceSSL off} on the Thank you page.

Forced SSL is a Joomla! mambot that forces the use of (or non-use of) SSL encryption on any given page.

When the admin/author inserts the tag into the content of the article it will check to see if the page has been accessed using the HTTPS protocol.

Welcome to the Joomla "Onion Verification Module" (mod_onion). The basic idea behind this module is to notify the surfer, that this webserver is active as a .onion node. This means that the surfer is able to surf towards the website anonymously using military class security.

The plugin verifies if each request against the webserver is a request against the (at admin side) registred .onion adress. If so then the 'active' logo will be shown. If not, the 'avaliable' logo will be shown with the .onion adress for the website below it. Surfing toward this .onion adress does only work if the client is connected to the onion routing network.
