We have released a new version of our popular free Mambot MosAuthorXTD. At the moment, it is a RC-Version - so please report problems you may have... We are pretty confident, that there should be no real bugs ;-)

First, the new version fixes some problems with Joomla 1.0.9 and 1.0.10. But it also contains some really new features:

* You can now select for each position where it shall be shown
* several new placeholders have been added
* the author is now connected to a contact-entry
* the image from contacts can be shown with the mambot
* noshow-problem fixed


You can download the mambot for free. Because of the new structure of the mambot, it is important to open, edit and save the administration screen of the mambot!
More Information:

To override the global settings in this mambot, add the mambot to the content:
mosauthorxtd /text:Text with placeholders /mail:0-1 /pos:1-4 /css:classname.
Every parameter not set in the mambot, will be set with the global value.

The available Positions are:
1: First Line of Content
2: Last Line of Content
3: In Title
4: Replace original "Written-by"

Important: all link-features (sectionlink, categorylink and mailto) are only available in position 1 and 2

You can select for each position where to show it. Just select the dropdown for each block.

Available placeholders are:
