    As a follow up to the Make Contact module the Five Questions module is a simple module that enables you to conduct a survey asking just five questions. You can assign an intro, thankyou and error message as well as the height and width of the boxes for the answers.

    It is not possible to unpublish the text areas at this stage so regardless of how many questions are being asked there will still be five boxes shown in the module.

    Collect, store, and display form input (or just store and display admin input--see below). Give quizzes or surveys and respond to what the user entered with powerful and flexible Score Scripts. (Selected Score Scripting examples: Display confirmation of what the user entered right after s/he does it; for quizzes, show percentage correct, points earned per response, points earned per question, total points, loop through each question and show if it was correct or not [and give correct answer]; use conditional operators; send highly configurable email; more features too.) Textarea, radio buttons, checkboxes, pulldown menus, and multiple choice menus can be used. The original purpose for this versatile component was to have users fill in Mad Libs, and this can still be done as well as implementing quotations with authors and additional fields (example: a mini-biography of the quoted person). Linkable quotes, food orders, and reviews are possible--anything involving a fill in the blanks scenario in which you or your users fill in the blanks and you surround the blanks with configurable HTML and/or text, all with CSS formatting. It is analogous to a database used to fill in form letters. You could do all above mentioned things at once by using multiple categories.

    MultiPage Survey (MPS) is a polling component for Joomla. It allows an unlimited number of questions per poll or survey. It is NOT related to the poll component of Joomla.

    Questions can be text or images or both. The mosImage control will take care of that.

    To use MPS you will need to have some ideas beforehand, probably on paper. You will need to make a mock-up survey using Word with Forms for example.

    In this mock-up version you will define all your questions and all the possible answers to these questions.

    Of course if you want to branch to a specific question when a user selects a certain answer, you will also have to define this.

    The results are stored in a database (external if you prefer to use not to charge Joomla's DB for this).

    In MPS questions and answers have NO real relationship. If you have many questions with a "Yes/No" type of answer, you will define all questions one by one, but the "Yes/No" answer (group) only once! Answers are reusable in the same and between multiple surveys. It is so possible to start a survey with entering all the answers or all the questions. Personally I prefer to start with all answers so I can select them directly when I define a question. This way I don't have to go back and forth between question editing and answer editing. Questions are best entered starting from the end: you will be able to select the questions for the routing information.

    Although answers do not belong to questions, questions DO belong to surveys. They are not reusable. If you need to ask the same questions in different surveys, you will have to define them again.

    Now the Alpha-Version (1.5.0.a) of the Lottery-Component for Joomla 1.5.x is ready for download in the download section. The newest version 1.5.0.d is available for logged-in users only. It comprises some minor bug-fixes (concerning php-short-tags, that might cause trouble on some servers), added capture functionality as well as the option to copy lotteries in the backend.
    Due to some compatibility issues with Joomla 1.5.10/11 there is a new Version 1.5.0.e of the Lottery-Component ready for download for registered users.
    It comprises additional romanian (thanks to Dan Cirstoc) und polish (thanks to Aleksander Szkodowski) language-files. The language files can be downloaded separately as well as the spanish (thanks to Juan A. Del Compare) language-files.
    Please share and send me your language files! I am shure there are french, italian, dutch, russian and many more translations somewhere out there.

    Medi-QnA is a Joomla! 1.5 native component developed for medical websites but can be used on any site that wants to offer educational content in question and answer format. The administrator can add as many 'sets' of questions as needed. Each question 'set' can have as many questions as needed. Adding a question is as easy as adding a regular article and uses the normal Joomla! editor so they can contain pictures and carry html formatting too. Question sets can be switched on or off, individual questions can also be switched on or off.

    Your readers are automatically presented with the latest question set added but can access a listing of all available sets to choose another if they wish. Having viewed a question the reader selects a 'show answer' button and the answer is revealed. The reader can skip forward and backward through the question set too.

    Originally developed to help doctors improve their diagnostic imaging skills, hence, it is not appropriate to include a grading or 'testing' feature. However, Medi-QnA can be used anywhere a question and answer format is required such as distance learning or as an alternative to flash-card style educational content.

    The Joomla Survey Manager (com_surveymanager) is a versatile product which allows you to create your own forms for questionaires or surveys.The frontend of the component allows your site visitors to complete the forms, upload photos, documents and media files and submit them. Form submissions can be revised until they are finalised by the user. (This can be done automatically too.)

    The backend admin system provides full control over which surveys are shown and has facilities for manipulating the submitted data as well as creating and changing the forms as required. It also has facilities for CSV file generation and can produce some standard reports and graphs.
