    This module shows the latest articles by one or various authors, in the categories or sections that you choose.

    The module is fully css customizable, and you also can include photos of the authors. A folder named 'authors' (or the name you wrote in the parameters) must be created inside Joomla's stories folder. Then you must move there the photos of the authors. They should be named 23.jpg, 12.jpg, etc., where '23', '12' etc. are the Ids of the authors. Please, note that the extension could be png too; in such a case, the photos should be named 23.png, 12.png, etc.

    If you decide not to show any author at all, then you get the usual LatestNews module.

    This Joomla Module shows a list of the most recently published Items (with Creation Date) that are still current (some may have expired even though they are the most recent). Items that are displayed on the Front Page Component are not included in the list. It's a hack of the Latest News module.

    New in version 1.1.0: date/time format according to the Country Locale which enables you to output the day & month names according to your language.
    The previous version (1.0) used the MySQL date/time format and showed the dates only in English day & month names.

    The module has three parameters:

    * Text before date, default: [
    * Date/Time format, default: %A %d %B %Y, %H:%I
    * Text after date, default:]

    Date/time format
    This module shows the latest news with date formatted according to Country Locale (set in Site > Global Configuration > Locale > Country Locale:) and module parameter "Date/time format" which uses the date/time format from PHP strftime

    Examples:

    * Country Locale: nl_NL and %A %d %B %Y, %H:%I will result in
    maandag 9 augustus 2004, 18:30
    * Country Locale: en_EN and %A %d %B %Y, %H:%I will result in
    Monday 9 August 2004, 18:30.

    Thumbsup module displays article list with thumbnails. The first image in the article is transformed in a thumbnail image with the given parameters for each module. You can vary the image size, the crop ratio (1:1, 3:4, 16:9, etc...) the thumbnail alignment and so on. Look at the examples at the bottom of this page.

    The code is under GPL Licence and is based on Smart Image Resizer 1.4.1 by: Joe Lencioni (http://shiftingpixel.com)

    It's a hack of the Latest News Module. The module has five extra parameters:

    * Show Created / Modified
    * Show/Hide Date
    * Text before date and
    * Text after date: use to put [] or () or   (for empty spaces) around the date.
    * Date/time format ( Formats the date value according to the MySQL format string.
