The differencies in class constructors between PHP4 and PHP5 were causing problems in previous 2.0.x versions of JotLoader. In ver.2.0.5 are necessary corrections for proper operation in PHP4 enviroment implemented.

New security concept introduced in ver.2.0.4 is now implemented also during installation
when upgrading from oldier version of JotLoader (1.3.1 and before).

JotLoader component for Joomla framework allows easy administration for file downloads on web sites.

As the result of the latest development is here introduced version 2.0 with bunch of new functions against its predecessors. Private Shared Space is a component for creating a private space for each registered user of the site. This space is accessible via a link usermenu. Via a simplified interface, users can upload files in its private directory and delete them. It can also send an email with the links of the selected files in two ways: send an e-mail server via the Joomla / Mambo or create an email via the email program default operating system.

Features

* The weight of the files is limited by the php server configuration (see upload_max_filesize). This information is automatically displayed in the administration panel.
* Customize the type of files can be uploaded.
* Personalize the name of the parent directory private spaces.
* Choice of language for the backend and frontend. Are available: french, English, Spanish and Romanian.
* Configuration of access rights per user group.
* Activation / deactivation option frontend (the great directors retain these rights even if they are disabled):
   o Adding files
   o removal of files,
   o display urls files,
   o display the date of last modification
   o Email.
* Customizing the e-mail text to send.
* Quota management, with ability to manage a single quota for all people or groups of users.
* Management of accents: if a file name contains accents, it is automatically renamed. For example: "é" is replaced by "e".
* The names of uploaded files is limited to 50 characters, beyond that, it will be truncated.
* Uninstall component does not entail the automatic deletion of files hosted in private directories. They remain available on the server but they are more accessible to respective users.
* The super administrator has access to all accounts in frontend and therefore the possibility to add / delete files directly into the accounts of interest.

This is the component and module that came from the original Torrent Tracker component. Because that component was not actually an ‘Torrent Tracker’, I have renamed the project, and recreated the component from scratch. This version is much faster, looks better, is easier to support, and I have also created an script to add to your crontab (cron job) to update ten random torrents at a time. You can then schedule the cron job to run at any time, or every so many minutes, or hours and keep the pages up-to-date with torrent statistics.

You can find both the component, module, and cron script in the zip file below. Please note that this is still beta software, I have it working on two of my own servers, and others are testing it.

Feel free to upload a torrent or two, and click on the stats icon for your torrent, you will see more information, and available actions.
